Three Lions Team Selection Announced: Jude and Phil Left Out, Saka Makes Comeback
Thomas Tuchel has opted to stick with the identical Three Lions selection that secured victory against Andorra and delivered an impressive display in Belgrade last month, finding no place for Jude Bellingham and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the forthcoming friendly against Wales and the qualifying match in the Baltic nation.
Despite Phil Foden making a strong case for a recall after regaining his top condition at his club, and Bellingham having made a comeback for his Spanish club following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has opted not to including two of the nation's biggest attacking talents. The young midfielder has started just a single time for his club since his return.
Tuchel has found space for the Arsenal winger, who is back to fitness and has been restored in place of his unavailable club colleague Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not received a recall.

The national team coach highlighted the vibrancy in the previous selection and seems intent on maintaining the vibe. Tino Livramento, who featured at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Belgrade, has dropped out due to a knee injury. Tuchel has not called up a direct replacement for the Magpies star but has included the Manchester City defender, who had to pull out last month. Tuchel has discussed the Manchester City defender's importance for England and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.
There is no place for the midfielder, who was selected last month but withdrew due to injury and was replaced by the Milan player.
The manager stated: βIt was only three weeks since the previous gathering and the last win, the last performance, so the consideration was why not bring the same group in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Tino and Noni and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Madueke. The defender was a late call-up last time; he will remain with the squad.β
